A blog dedicated to the game that captured my mind as a youngin and still inspires me to this very day.

There is a name coming out of Europe that many people here in the states could be getting to know very well in about the year 2010. DraftExpress did some coverage on him and my friend Christophe did over at EuropeanProspects. His name is Ricard Rubio and he could easily be the top pick when he becomes draft eligible. His Spanish team at the U16 championships won the gold medal and Ricard took home MVP honors and finished the final game with 51 points, 24 rebounds, 12 assists and 7 steals. Seriously, those were his stats. He already is on the bench for DKV Joventut, which is one of the top teams in Spain. The scary thing is, he is only 15 years old! I could barely make myself breakfast at that age and he is putting up stats and creating hype like a young Lebron or OJ Mayo. His J needs work, but being only 15, I suspect it will improve. Playing along with someone like Rudy Fernandez should help him elevate his game. Keep your eyes open for this kid because the Stern man may be calling his name number one over all in the not too distant future.
